Empowerment Terms of Use
Version 1 · Effective October 11, 2026
In short: Empowerment is a free planning tool. It helps you explore business ideas and plan your launch, but it is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Estimates can be wrong and rules change, so check requirements with the official agency and, when you're unsure, with a qualified professional. Text written by AI can contain mistakes. You decide what to do, and you're responsible for your business. You own what you enter, and you can download or delete it at any time. This summary is here to help you read the terms; the full terms below are what apply.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Empowerment is provided by The Walch Company ("Skill Resilience," "we" or "us"), which operates skillresilience.com. These terms apply to the Empowerment pages and tools that start at skillresilience.com/Empowerment ("Empowerment"). The rest of Skill Resilience stays under its own terms. By ticking the box and continuing, you agree to these terms and confirm that you have read the Empowerment Privacy Notice.
2. Who can use Empowerment
You must be at least 18 years old. You need a Skill Resilience account or a Google sign-in. Keep your login secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone has used it without your permission, tell us at sales@ewalch.com. Empowerment's guidance and official links cover New York and New Jersey. If you're elsewhere, you can still explore ideas, but the guidance won't cover your location.
3. What Empowerment does
Empowerment suggests business ideas based on your answers, builds a step-by-step launch plan, and provides a budget tool, pricing calculators, outreach message drafts, a lead list, an AI assistant and a list of questions to take to a professional. It is free. We may add, change, pause or end features. If we plan to end Empowerment, we will try to give you notice so you can download your data first.
4. Not professional advice
Empowerment gives general information and planning help. It does not give legal, tax, accounting, financial, insurance or licensing advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Links to official websites are provided for convenience. We do not file anything or contact any agency for you. Before you make decisions about how to set up your business, taxes, permits, licenses, insurance, contracts or hiring, check with the relevant government agency or a qualified professional.
5. Estimates and official information
Start-up costs, time to first income, prices and break-even figures are estimates. The calculators do math on the numbers you enter; they do not know your real costs. Information about requirements summarizes public government sources as of the date we checked them. Rules, fees and websites change, and our information may be incomplete or may not cover your town or situation. You are responsible for confirming requirements with the agency that sets them.
6. AI features
Some text in Empowerment is written by artificial intelligence, including idea explanations, outreach drafts and assistant answers. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Review it before you rely on it or send it to anyone. The AI features do not take actions for you, and we limit how many AI requests you can make each day. To write this text, we send relevant parts of your plan to an AI provider through our platform provider, as described in the Privacy Notice.
7. No guarantee of results
We cannot promise that any business idea will succeed, attract customers or earn any amount of money. Results depend on you, your market and many things outside our control.
8. Your responsibilities
When you use Empowerment, you agree to:
- give answers that are accurate as far as you know;
- follow the laws that apply to you and your business, including registration, tax, licensing, health and safety, employment and consumer protection laws;
- add people to your lead list only if they have agreed to hear from you, and follow the laws on contacting people by text, phone, email and social media;
- read every message before you send it (Empowerment never sends messages for you);
- not enter other people's sensitive information, such as ID numbers, bank details or health information, or any personal information about children.
9. Your content
You own what you enter, including your answers, notes, budget, prices, offer, leads, saved messages and assistant chats. You allow us to store and use it only to provide Empowerment to you, to keep it secure, and to count anonymously how many people reach each step so we can improve Empowerment. We do not sell your data. You can download or delete your Empowerment data at any time from "My data". Deleting it does not delete your Skill Resilience account.
10. Text Empowerment creates for you
You may use, edit and share the plans, checklists and message drafts Empowerment creates for your own business, without crediting us. Other users may receive similar text. The Empowerment software, design, templates and the content we write remain ours or our licensors'. Don't copy, resell or use them to build a competing service.
11. Acceptable use
Don't use Empowerment to break the law or plan illegal activity; send spam or unwanted messages; try to access other users' information or our systems without permission; interfere with or overload the service; use automated tools to copy content or misuse the AI features; or pretend to be someone else.
12. Other websites and services
Empowerment links to government and other websites we don't control, and we are not responsible for their content. Empowerment runs on third-party platform and AI services, so it may sometimes be unavailable.
13. Suspension and ending
You can stop using Empowerment and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect other users or the service; where reasonable, we will tell you why. Sections 4 to 7, 9, 10, 14, 15 and 17 continue to apply after your use ends.
14. Disclaimer
Empowerment is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its information, estimates or AI-written text will be complete, accurate or current. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have that the law does not allow to be limited.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business opportunities, or indirect or consequential losses that result from using Empowerment, including decisions you make based on its suggestions, estimates or AI-written text. To the same extent, our total liability for any claim about Empowerment is limited to $100. This section does not limit liability for our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will show you the new version and ask you to accept it before you continue using Empowerment. The version number and effective date at the top show which version applies. If you don't agree to a new version, you can stop using Empowerment and delete your data.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If you have a concern, please contact us first at sales@ewalch.com; we will try to resolve it with you within 30 days. Any claim will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it in your local courts.
